Denise Lee Richards was born on Feb 17, 1971. She is an American actress and former fashion model; she made her appearances in various films including Starship troopers in 1997, Wild things in 1998, Drop Dead Gorgeous in 1999, and in Valentines in 2001. Denise Richards has been active since 1989.

Richards was born in Illinois to Joni, who was the owner of a coffee shop, and Irv Richards, who was a telephone engineer. She belongs to German ancestry and some extent also French-Canadian. She has a younger sister whose name is Michelle. She was raised both in Mokena and Downers Grove. When she was 15 years old, she and her family moved to Oceanside, California where I the year of 1989, she did graduate from EI Camino High School.

In her childhood, she was also interested in baseball and was a good player of it. She raised Roman Catholic. After her high school graduation, she began working as a model and traveled to big cities such as Paris, New York, and Tokyo for the sake of photo shoots and commercials.

In the start of her career, she emerged in the lower-budget films and TV shows such as “saved by the bell, TV movies” and also became part of various TV shows such as “Beverly Hills, Seinfeld, Lois and Clark and Melrose Place. Her first starring role was in a wide theatrical release was “Starship Troopers” in 1997 for which Richards also got a nomination for Blockbuster Entertainment award. Then she also performed in Wild Things. Variety of her work raised the name of Richards.

She starred as a nuclear physicist in the 1999 James Bond film “the words is not enough’. Her role was deep and important, but she did not receive much credit from the critics. She also got the nomination for the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for favorite actress action. Later that year, she starred alongside Dunst in the beauty pageant satire, “drop dead gorgeous.” Richards, playing a spoiled princess, was praised for her performance by Los Angeles Times for being “as rightly nasty as she is pretty.”

In 2001, she cast in “friends’ as Ross. Later that year, she also emerged in 4 episodes of Spin City as Jennifer, a love interest of Charlie.

In 2005, she featured in short-lived UPN series Sex, Love & Secrets. She also appeared in films such as Valentine in 2001, Undercover Brother in 2002, and Scary Movie in 2003. In 2003, she also showed a short appearance in the British romantic comedy, Love. In 2005, she starred in the ensemble drama, Edmond alongside Julia Stiles.

In 2008, she appeared in “dancing with stars” where her pair made with Maksim. In 2010, she joined the cast of Blue Mountain State, a Spike comedy series. She played Debra, ex-wife of coach Danials.

In July 2011, she was able to publish a memoir “the real girl next door” a New York Times Best Seller. She remained part of the TV Guide Network’s show, which aired in Nov 2011.  She showed guest spot for an episode for the 6th season of NBC comedy 30 Rock. In the following year, she starred in ABC family.

Richards met actor Charlie Sheen on the set of a Loaded weapon in 1991. They became engaged in 2002 while the pair got married in a Roman Catholic ceremony on June 15, 2002. They have two daughters together. In 2006, the couple divorced each other.

In 2011, she adopted a third daughter, Joni, as a single parent. Richards adopted her at birth domestically within the United States, following a two-year adoption process.

She suffered a breast implant procedure, which led to the doctor putting in larger implants than she asked for.

Richards appeared in the NOHB campaign, and she spoke in favor of gay marriage.

She has worked with Best friends Animal Society on several projects, including Pup My Ride Program, which transports small dogs from high-kill animal shelters to other parts of the US where there is a greater demand of small dogs. She adopted a puppy from a Long Island shelter.
