Liam Payne Biography

Liam Payne was born on August 29, 1993, in Wolverhampton, England. He got his education from the city of Wolverhampton College. His early interest in music and performing led him to compete on television talent competition The X Factor in 2008 and then again in 2010. On his second attempt, he got positive notice.

Liam is an English singer and songwriter; he got his fame as a member of the boy band when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. Liam Payne is the part of the music group ‘One Direction,’ and his instruments are vocal.

He is the son of Karen, a nursery nurse, and Geoff Payne, a fitter. He has two elder sisters, Nicola and Ruth. Payne was born three at the time, getting sick frequently. Until the age of 4, Payne had regular tests done in hospitals as doctors took notice that one of his kidneys was scarred and was not functional. To fight with the pain, he had 32 injections in his arm in the morning and evening when he was very little.

As a student, Payne was too much interested in sports, particularly cross country running. Payne originally joined the Wolverhampton and Bilston Athletics Club to make his running career. After his failure to make the English National team for the 2012 Olympic Games, he placed on the reserve list.

When he was dealing with bullying with some students in secondary school, he took up boxing lessons at the age of 12. Payne completed 11 GCSEs at St Peter’s Collegiate School before moving on to study about music technology at Wolverhampton College’s Paget Road campus.

Payne was first introduced to the world of show business at the age of 12 as a member of the pink Productions Theatre Company, even appearing as Tony Manero from Saturday Night Forever. He had performed before this, in front of a throng of 26,000 during a Wolverhampton Wanders football match.

Payne cites Justin and Usher as major musical influences. The person who has inspired him the most is Pharrell Williams with whom he worked when he was quite young. At the age of 22, he tried to learn the guitar.

Liam Payne made his first debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X-factor in 2008 when he was 14 years old. He moved past the first round after performing Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon.” He cut at the Boot Camp stage, but Simon Cowell changed his mind and asked him to return judges’ houses stage. He cut again but again he was courage by Cowell to come back in two years.  After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form ‘One Direction.’ This band released five successful albums, based on four worldwide tours and won multiple awards.

Liam has worked with producers under the monikers ‘Big Payno’ and ‘Payno’ making remixes for songs by his band and singer Cheryl. In 2006, he signed a recording deal with Capitol Records as a solo artist. In May 2017, Payne released ‘Strip That Down’ the lead single from his upcoming debut solo album.

Liam Payne began working as a producer under the monikers ‘Big Payno’ and ‘Payno’ teaming with mates producers to remix several tracks including Cheryl Cole’s ‘I Don’t care’ in 2014. Some EDM websites noted Payne’s remixes were venturing into the future house. He was also given credit for writing Cole’s “I Won’t Break,” of her album Only Human. In August 2014, Payne became director of Hampton Music Limited, a publishing company under which his solo projects made. Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer signed to One Mode Productions Limited, on which Payne serves as one of the directors.

He started working on future projects collaborating with Juicy J on 7 tracks with more in the works’ DJ Mustard and Miguel. Liam Payne remained in the studio with producer and performing artist Pharrell Williams, also was contacted The Collective member and youtube musician and producer ‘Will Singe.’

Payne appeared on the covers of attitude magazine after getting the award The Sexiest Man of the Year, marking the first. And only solo cover and interview by a member of ‘One Direction’ and further speculation of Payne’s solo career.

2015-Present

In 2015, Payne in collaboration with songwriter Jamie Scott on Irish band Hometown’s single “The Night We Met.” In early 2016, Payne featured on a track titled “You” by Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J. Payne denied that the track was a single, but it confirmed to be a leak from an untitled mixtape.

In July 2016, he revealed on Twitter that he had signed a recording contract with Capitol Records. His debut solo single “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo. And co-written with Ed Sheeran and Steve, was released on May 19, 2017. It sent to US contemporary hit radio on May 23, 2017.

Payne saved his best friend Andy Samuels’ life following an accidental fire in August 2013. He also came to the defense of a waitress. When several members of the Tottenham Hotspur team acted inappropriately towards her in a club in London. He saved Calvin Harris from the wound during an incident at Miley Cyrus’s birthday party in 2013.

Liam Payne is a friend of English recording artist Katie Waissel, whom he helped through her divorce. He is also a close comrade of radio personality Scott Mills.

Payne named Attitude Magazine’s Attractive Man of the year in 2015. Liam has been credited by fast-food giant Burger King as being the inspiration behind the return of the Chicken Fries menu item. He is also an avid fan of the Harry Potter series.

He began dating with singer Cheryl in 2016. On March 22, 2017, Cheryl welcomed their first child, a son.
