Joe Swash was born on 20th January 1982 AD in Islington, London, England. His father name was Ricky William Swash and Catherine M. “Kiffy.” His siblings include Cassie Swash and Shana Swash.

As far as his education is concerned, Joe firstly studied at Highbury Grove School that located in Islington. After that, on the advice of his mother’s friend namely Linda Robson who was also an actress, he attended Anna Scher Theatre School. He met with Brooke Kinsella, Natalie Cassidy and James Alexandrou in this theatre school who are his co-stars in the soap EastEnders.

Swash made his first appearance on the television with an Andrex advertisement at the age of only seven. After that, he appeared in a movie named “You Rang M’Lord” at the age of nine. He performed the role of a little boy who was orphan. At the age of eleven, he again appeared in a movie named “The Adventures of Pinocchio” and performed the role of a fighting boy. In this movie, he worked with Correy Carrier, Richard Claxton, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. His real sister namely Shana played the role of Mickey’s little sister in the soap. His real son named Harry Swash also appeared in the soap for a short period as his niece, Summer Swann. He along with his co-star named David Spinx who played the role of his stepfather departed from the soap in 2008. They made their final appearances in July 2008. He co-presented the show with several famous presenters from time to time including Russell Kane (2009-2011), Caroline Flack (2009-2010), Laura Whitmore (2011-2015), Rob Beckett (2012-2014) and David Morgan (2015). In the year 2016, the show renamed as “I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp.” In this show, he presented with Chris Ramsey (2016), Stacey Solomon (2016), Vicky Pattison (2016), Scarlett Moffatt (2017-) and Joel Dommett (2017-).

Other Television Appearances:

Apart from the above-mentioned works, Joe Swash appeared in various other works on television including the second series of “Hole in the Wall.” He performed in this series in the year 2009 along with his ex-rugby player Austin Healey. In the year 2010, he appeared in “What Do Kids Know?” along with Sara Cox and Rufus Hound. Joe also presented the children’s show named “Gimme a Break” in the year 2011 that aired on CBBC Channel. In the same year, he along with Caroline Flack worked in “Minute to Win It” that was a game show on ITV2. Swash has a mix Italian, Scottish and Irish background. His great-grandmother namely Maria Christina Swash was from Italy. His father named Rickey William Swash was a taxicab driver who died of a sudden arrhythmic death syndrome. Joe Swash was only 12 years old when his father died. His mother named Catherine M. “Kiffy” raised three children including Joe Swash and his two sisters namely Cassie Swash and Shana Swash. In the year 2005, Joe became severely ill and remained in the hospital for two weeks. Doctors were not sure about his recovery. However, he recovered without any damage. Joe Swash engaged with Emma Sophocleous. Emma gave birth to their first child on 16 June 2007 and named him as Harry Swash. The couple announced separation on 19 January 2008.

Joe Swash was declared as bankrupt due to an unpaid tax bill of £20,000 on 3 November 2009. Joe’s agent namely Becca Barr said that it was a mix-up and Joe was not in any financial difficulty. Swash also became the patron of charity Meningitis UK in April 2009.
