Jasmine Harman Biography

Jasmine Isabelle Harman was born on Nov 15, 1975, in London, England. She is a British television presenter, best known for co-presenting the Channel 4 series “A place in the Sun: Home or Way.” Her nationality is British, and she is living in South West London, England. Apart from television presenter, Jasmine Harman is radio presenter and writer.

Initially, Harman had a career in the health and fitness industry, and later she moved towards television. She is a qualified fitness instructor and lived in the Algarve for several years, where she worked as a manager for the health resort. Then she started writing professionally and hosted her own twice-weekly live magazine show on the Algarve radio station, Kiss FM, where she worked with DJ Sir Owen Gee.

 In 2004, Jasmine Harman selected from hundreds of applicants to present Channel 4’s show “A place in the Sun- Home or Away” alongside Jonnie Irwin and has filmed over 200 episodes worldwide and has recorded more episodes than any other presenter. The program is also broadcast daily More4, Discovery Real Time and Travel & Living, as well as channels in Europe and beyond, including New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. She also performed in property, health, travel and lifestyle programs for ‘This Morning, GMTV and the Travel Channel.’

2011-present

On Aug 16, 2011, a BBC documentary, My Hoarder Mum and Me featuring her mother Vasoulla’s hoarding were broadcast, featuring Jasmine and her siblings trying to help her. On May 8, 2012, the documentary was extended to include the other hoarders as Britain’s Biggest Hoarders.

Jasmine Harman also fronted the BBC one documentary Britain’s Compulsive Shoppers in August 2014. She also remained presenter for the program “The Truth About Tour Teeth” which broadcast on BBC One in June 2015.

Jasmine Harman presented the second series of Collectaholics on BBC Two. That series aired in April 2015. She replaced Mel Giedroyc who hosted the first series in 2014.

Harman is a good writer and commentator on topics such as overseas property, travel, and homes. She has also written for the company, Living Abroad, and My Travel magazine. She is the resident travel columnist at look Magazine and a contributor to A place in the Sun magazine. Harman appears in this magazine on her top tips for buying property abroad. Harman also a regular on BBC Radio Kent where she joins PJ and Harris for the Sunday Supplement.

Jasmine Harman is the eldest of seven children, with two siblings on her father’s side and one-half sibling from her mother’s side. She has Greek Cypriot ancestry, and many of her relatives reside in Cyprus. Although her close family is residing in England. Her hobbies include salsa, boxercise, and savate. Jasmine has been a vegetarian since about the age of six and a vegan since 2014.

In 2009, she got married to the television cameraman Jon Boast, and both of them are living in London. In Oct 2013, she gave birth to their first baby. A daughter, joy Harman Boast and in Dec 2015, she gave birth to her second child, a son, Albion.

Jasmine Harman provided support to a lot of charity projects, including becoming a celebrity waiter in aid of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, trading billions of pounds on the stock market to collect money for Breast Cancer Care and in March 2010she did dog sledding in the Arctic for the Dogs rust.

In April 2010, she was also one of the members of celebrities who participated in a nude photo shoot in aid of Cancer Research UK. Harman, a supporter of the children’s charity Dreamflight organization. Whose work is to organize holidays to Orlando for ill and terminally ill and sick children. She toured o a trip in Oct 2010 and 2011.

Jasmine Harman and her husband planned for a home birth, but due to an erratic heart rate of her child, they rushed towards the hospital.

In an interview, Harman revealed that it was her biggest fear to work with television before starting her career in media. She is a qualified fitness instructor.

His dad was a seasonal drummer who did not earn a lot to support his family. She claimed that she had earned enough money that she can survive in coming years without any work. She also told that she and her husband, they have a joint account for the household expenses. According to her, having money takes away one of the biggest stresses of life. Her best buy is her first car, 1972 pink Volkswagen Beetle which she bought by saving money from her job. She likes to spend a lot of money on birthday parties.
